Meet Jessica

Registered Early Childhood Educator, BASc., Certified Forest School Practitioner

Early Learning Consultant | Pedagogical Leader | Keynote Speaker

Since 2011, I’ve worked in early learning and education across Canada and internationally—including China, Jamaica, and Europe. My work is rooted in a deep belief that high-quality early learning environments emerge when educators feel inspired, supported, and empowered to think differently about their practice.

Over the years, I’ve worked across the sector as a preschool and toddler educator, child care supervisor, Pedagogical Leader, and Field Faculty with Humber College. In 2020, I began consulting with Discovery Professional Learning, supporting pedagogical growth with organizations across Canada—including Simcoe County, the ECDA of PEI, Chatham-Kent, and Thunder Bay.

Today, through consulting, professional learning, and keynote presentations, I work alongside educators to reflect, question, and co-create meaningful learning experiences with children and families. My work includes one-on-one consulting, team development, immersive professional learning days, and large-scale conference presentations for audiences of up to 1,000 educators.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to values-driven practice, nature-based pedagogy, and emergent leadership. Every collaboration is shaped by the unique context of the educators and communities I work with—helping teams move beyond standard practice toward innovative and deeply meaningful learning environments.

I’m passionate about creating spaces where educators feel competent, valued, and inspired in their work with children.

Bridging the Gap Between Pedagogy and Practice

Empowering educators through tailored consulting, immersive workshops, and transformative keynotes.

1-1 Consulting
& Team Sessions

In our 1-1 & Team Sessions, I step into your world to provide personalized, reflective coaching. We’ll move past surface-level "fixes" to build a pedagogical foundation that honours both the educator’s well-being and the child’s unique journey.

Interactive Workshops & Immersive Learning

Professional development shouldn't be a box to check; it should be a breath of fresh air. My workshops are designed to disrupt the status quo. We trade "sit-and-get" sessions for collaborative, experiential opportunities that bridge the gap between high-level theory and the beautiful, messy reality of the classroom.

Transformative Keynotes

Whether I’m standing on a conference stage or in a staff room, my goal is to remind you why you started. I combine authentic storytelling with pedagogical research to challenge perspectives and advocate for our field. I don't just want you to leave inspired; I want you to leave feeling equipped to be the fiercest advocates for the children in your care.

  • “You believed in me even before I believed in myself as an Early Childhood Educator. Discovery has meant so much to my career but you are the main reason for all the growth I have done and making my passion for early learning grow even bigger. I didn’t understand being able to challenge my own thinking and dive deeper into my “why” until you showed me how and to more importantly trust in myself as an educator. You made it easy to fall back in love with early learning and realize my true potential. I know there is always more growth to be had and I will be thinking of you as that happens.”

    — Shelby M.

    Educator, Discovery Child Care Centre

  • "The most reflective leadership course I’ve ever taken. Jessica creates a safe, compassionate environment that fuels curiosity and critical thinking. We gained so much value that we’ve already signed up again."

    —Kathy Knight-Robinson

Director, Licensed Child Care Programs and Early ON Child and Family Centre. Andrew Fleck Children’s Services

  • "A natural leader and innovative thinker. Jessica possesses a unique ability to mentor educators while simultaneously scaling an organization’s vision through her expertise in nature education and professional learning."

    —Lindsay Webb

Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, New Brunswick

  • "Jessica has a rare gift for taking a room of 900 people and making it feel like an intimate conversation. The keynote didn't just inspire us, it also provided concrete daily actions to bring into practice. She reminded us that we stand on the shoulders of those before us, leaving everyone in the room ready to be a fiercer advocate for the children in our care."

    —Jayne C.
ECDA of PEI, Prince Edward Island

  • "Through my time with Jessica, I have transferred more of my textbook knowledge into practice and gained a better understanding of "How does learning happen?" and the emerging curriculum in a much deeper way. "

    —Jiayue.

    Educator, Andrew Fleck Children’s Services.
